New Kid

The author of New Kid, Jerry Craft, will be at the 2019 Truman State University Children’s Literature Festival. I can’t wait to go and see all the authors!

This book is a graphic novel, so graphic novel lovers will probably like this book.

New Kid is about a boy named Jordan Banks who just started middle school. He loves to draw and wanted to go to art school instead. Jordan has a boy in his grade that is his guide. He starts to become friends with his guide, Liam, and then meets Drew. Middle school is hard, but Jordan’s dad says he can go to art school in a few years if he still doesn’t like middle school.

My favorite character is probably Drew. He seems kind and is a very good friend to Jordan. Drew is also very good at sports.

This book is for fourth-seventh graders.

I give this book 4 out of 5 bookworms.
