Ugly by Robert Hoge

Ugly
By Robert Hoge

Ugly is a true story about the author. It talks about Robert’s life and how he manages with his “ugly” face and legs. Robert wanted to write this book because he wants to show that it’s okay to be different. Ugly is an inspiring story.

Ugly is about a boy who is born with a large bump in the middle of his face, his eyes on the side of his head, and legs that are shorter than they should be. He was born in a hospital like any other child, but at first his mother doesn’t want him. Robert has to go through many challenges. Read Ugly to find out what Robert does.

My favorite character is Robert. He is very brave because he goes to school when kids call him mean names like cripple. Robert has to go through lots of surgeries.

I really enjoyed this book and if you read it I hope you enjoy it. If you have read Wonder and liked it you will like this one too.

I give this book 5 out of 5 bookworms.   Bookworm
This book is a third grade-fifth grade book.
