Library Card — A FREE All Access Card to the World of Reading

This summer my library — the Adair County Public Library in Kirksville, Missouri — changed the policy on children and youth materials. You can check out up to 15 items at a time from the children and youth section, and while they still have due dates, they no longer charge late fees.

My mom had previously been unsure about letting me get my own card in case I ended up forgetting and having a lot of late fees. But now, this summer, with the new rules she said I could get my own card.

Do you have a library card?
It’s so much fun to have my own account and be able to check out my own books when we go to the library. Sometimes I even let my brother check out books on my account.

It was super easy to do — fill out a form, take it the front desk, and then you can start checking out that day (up to two items the first time you use your card).

I highly recommend everyone get a card and use your local library. img_2162img_2164img_2166
